C-150, N60614

Remarks, Procedures, Maneuvers:
Insurance Check-out Flight

Comments:
I really enjoyed getting checked out in this C-150J. AeroTravel rents this plane out of PTS in addition to N12189er. I checked-outed in order add flexibility for staying current. Little did I realize that it is more fun to fly than the C-172. However, we tested its lift capability with two full grown men in the cockpit. The C-150J is quite cozy.

However, once the instructor/owner stepped out, 60614 leaped in the air, well as much as she could with my massive frame of 1/7 of a ton.

Weather conditions were different from anything I had encountered before, though only on the ground. A recent ice storm and winter weather had left a couple inches of ice on the taxi ways and only one runway was cleared. In fact, we had difficulty in getting the plane out of the hanger and getting it started. Had to jump the plane to get her started, which was a new and exciting experience for me.

I look forward to taking 60614 back into the sky in the future.

Now, if only I can find the funds to make it happen again . . .
